What to expect

The 17th annual Aki Matsuri Japanese Festival is scheduled for October 10 at Water Street Plaza in Henderson. The city’s fall calendar lists hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and admission is free.

Presented with the Japanese Festival Association of Nevada, the festival combines Japanese food, vendors, music and cultural activities. The city says the event also receives support from the Consul General of Japan in San Francisco.

Plan your visit

The long operating window allows visitors to choose a daytime family outing or an evening visit. Food and vendor purchases are separate decisions from the free admission; no all-inclusive dining offer was established in the city announcement.

Use the city’s Aki Matsuri information for any final performance schedule. Henderson has several other October events on Water Street, including Bluegrass on October 17, so confirm the date before making plans.
