KNOW WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING AT

Public records.
Clear boundaries.

Our map brings together available permit records across the Las Vegas area. It shows recorded activity, not reviews or a guarantee of completed work. A busy company is not automatically a better company.

What’s included

Las Vegas: two published city feeds. North Las Vegas: available issued-permit reports. Henderson: the reconciled public Civic Access permit search inventory, plus selected GIS building and development layers. Clark County: inspection-site records and available PermitStack permits, including contractor-linked historical records matched to official county address points. The table above gives current saved counts for each jurisdiction. Boulder City: selected new-single-family reports. Mesquite, specialist permits, and additional portal history remain outstanding.

The opening map shows records with named contractors. Filters can include all records. The Clark County additions expand coverage around Enterprise, Spring Valley, Paradise and other county neighborhoods. Coverage is still limited to the records and reliable locations available from our sources. The opening map includes residential permits and permits whose property type is unspecified, while excluding known commercial work. Unspecified records keep that label; an address alone does not establish the property type.

How we count

Repeated source rows are grouped by jurisdiction and permit number. Multiple permits can belong to one project. Records without a reliable location remain in our archive, but do not receive an invented map pin. Parcel centers are labeled separately from recorded address points.

Contractor license checks

Each contractor profile separates dated Nevada license checks from pending identity and disciplinary reviews. The board-history search is cross-referenced by exact license number for January 2001–September 10, 2026. Matching entries do not establish final outcomes or present-holder responsibility; no matches do not establish a clean history. Active-listing matches and individual board-record reviews are labeled separately. Multiple licenses keep their own statuses, classifications, and expiration dates. Explore the master verification directory.

Company information

Verified name variants are combined into one company profile. Original names remain visible on each record. A profile can contain multiple trade licenses; similar company names alone do not establish shared ownership. Rankings count each canonical permit once.

Companies appear when supported by a recorded professional field or an identifiable business contact. Henderson sometimes lists contractor businesses as applicants; that recorded role is preserved. Henderson company details also use the city’s published DSC professional-name and state-license fields and permit catalogs. A recorded license number is historical source data, not a current license-status check. Unmatched individual applicants and owner fields are excluded. Check current licensing with the Nevada State Contractors Board before hiring.

Comparing activity

Charts use available issue dates and the same search area, trade, and filters as the map. Comparison periods have equal numbers of days. Partial periods are marked. Records reported by issuance week count toward totals when their whole week fits inside the search dates. They appear in chart bars only when that whole week fits inside one chart period. Undated records are excluded from charts. Missing source records or company details can affect apparent changes; these are comparisons of available records, not verified business growth or quality ratings.

Dates and updates

This snapshot was last acquired 2026-10-27. Individual sources have different acquisition and issue dates; an archive refresh can add historical records without indicating new construction activity. North Las Vegas weekly reports preserve their issuance date ranges; a date filter includes these records only when their whole reported week fits inside the selected dates. Each government publishes on its own schedule. Issued, finaled, completed and closed remain separate statuses. An issued-permit report may not contain later inspection or completion updates. A small number of unusually old Henderson issue dates are under review; source dates are not proof of complete coverage back to that year.

Scheduled checks cover City of Las Vegas official residential feeds, supported North Las Vegas weekly reports, and available PermitStack feeds including unincorporated Clark County. Henderson's public portal is checked every three hours for recent issued permits. Verified additions are published after contractor, residential-use, trade, location and duplicate checks. Government source dates may lag, and unresolved records are held for review. Boulder City does not yet have automatic collection. Coverage is incomplete and is not a real-time government feed.

Neighborhood boundaries

The City of Las Vegas filter covers the incorporated city; the opening map covers the broader valley. The Summerlin filter uses the Summerlin South boundary, not every neighborhood commonly called Summerlin.

Area filters follow mapped city, town, planning, neighborhood, or community boundaries. Smaller communities can sit within a larger city or planning area. Each filter uses its own outline; it does not add overlapping areas together. Boundaries come from Clark County, the City of Las Vegas, Henderson, and the U.S. Census Bureau. These sources do not define every informal neighborhood name.

The background map

Street maps and aerial imagery come from Mapbox and its credited data providers, including OpenStreetMap. Aerial detail and capture dates vary by location; imagery is not live. Building outlines appear where mapped; they are not surveyed property boundaries. Permit points use the location evidence described in each record.

Missing records

Henderson’s published search inventory has been reconciled; unpublished legacy history is not certified. No jurisdiction is currently certified as a complete all-system historical inventory. Missing dates, addresses, company attribution and legacy records are tracked as open coverage gaps. They are not treated as zero activity.
