What to expect
Downtown Las Vegas hosts the annual PRIDE Night Parade on Friday, October 9. The main stage will be at Fourth Street and Bridger Avenue, with a preshow at 6 p.m. and the parade starting at 7 p.m.
The block party on Fourth Street is scheduled to include food trucks, beverage stations and exhibitors. Jimmy Emerson and the Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are listed as grand marshals.
Plan your visit
Drivers should plan for disruption before the entertainment begins. The organizer says traffic will be affected most noticeably along Fourth Street between Charleston Boulevard and Stewart Avenue from 3 p.m. until midnight.
The parade and October 17 PRIDE Festival are separate events at different locations. Visitors seeking the parade should use the downtown route information rather than directions to the Desert Breeze festival site. The parade page also links its route map and participant information.
Same-day access update
Las Vegas police began investigating a suspicious item near Third Street and Bridger Avenue at 2:46 p.m. Friday. KTNV reported at 5 p.m. that a police spokesperson said the item had been rendered safe, caution tape was coming down and roads through the area were expected to reopen. Police had not yet provided details about the item or whether it had posed a danger.
The organizer’s page still listed the 6 p.m. preshow and 7 p.m. parade start during this check. The resolved police response did not change those published event times, although the parade’s planned downtown street closures and traffic effects remain relevant for anyone arriving by car.
