How the evening is organized

Spook and Splash runs from 5 to 8 p.m. on October 17. The $4-per-person event includes carnival games, a bounce house, a cupcake walk and a costume contest. A haunted house operates until 6:30 p.m.; the city cautions that it may not suit younger children.

Monsters, Inc. is scheduled as a pool movie from 6:30 to 8 p.m. That makes the evening two distinct activities rather than three continuous hours of swimming.

Pool rules for families

Children younger than 7, or shorter than 48 inches, must have an adult aged 18 or older with them at all times, at one adult per child. Young children need approved swim diapers. Only Coast Guard-approved flotation devices are allowed.

The city’s facility page gives conflicting north/south street prefixes for the pool. Use the named Pavilion Center Pool Complex when navigating to 101 Pavilion Center Drive; the facility phone is 702-229-1488.
