A new housing phase
PulteGroup held a grand opening for Aries on September 10, with five subdivisions open for sale, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported the following day. The community covers more than 1,100 acres at the former Three Kids Mine property.
The site lies south of Lake Mead Parkway, roughly five miles northeast of Boulder Highway. The reported opening prices ranged from the $300,000s into the $500,000s. Those are figures from the September launch, not a promise of current availability or the total cost of a particular home.
What opening means here
The milestone is the launch of neighborhoods and home sales within a much larger master-planned community. It does not mean the entire acreage has been built out. Pulte’s community pages list individual neighborhoods and homes, allowing buyers to distinguish the broader Aries name from a specific subdivision.
For existing east Henderson residents, the project brings a former industrial landscape into residential use. The size of the master plan makes it worth following in phases: homes being marketed today, later construction and community amenities do not necessarily share a completion date.
The homes offered now and the neighborhoods still ahead
The first five communities are Sora, Dalea, Oasis Canyon, Sundale and Desert Mesa, according to Homes.com’s September reporting. The initial offering comprises 15 floor plans, from 1,285 to 2,727 square feet. Across the full master plan, the builder anticipates 24 neighborhoods with a mix of housing types. The eventual home count has been reported at as many as 3,000, rather than 3,000 homes already delivered.
Realty News Report says the Del Webb portion is expected to begin sales in 2027. Its planned residents-only clubhouse would include a fitness center, pickleball courts, lounge and meeting space. Those amenities belong to that future neighborhood’s program and should not be assumed to be available to every buyer in Aries today.
Homes.com also reported that Pulte sold homesites to Richmond American Homes and D.R. Horton earlier in 2026. A master plan can therefore involve several builders and different schedules, even when one company leads its initial launch.
The mine’s history is part of the development story
The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection identifies Three Kids Mine as a former open-pit manganese operation discovered in 1917. Mining and milling ended in 1961. The agency documents residues and processing wastes containing substances including lead, arsenic, manganese and petroleum, as well as the subsequent assessment and cleanup process.
A 2014 federal law created a framework for transferring federal land through Henderson’s Redevelopment Agency for remediation and reclamation. NDEP says the transfer was completed in February 2024 and cleanup activities began that May, following a November 2023 cleanup decision.
The regulator’s current page still describes cleanup as ongoing and publishes closure-unit reports, monitoring records and progress reports. For that reason, the home-sales opening should not be treated as proof that cleanup across the entire former mine property is finished. A buyer seeking parcel-specific information can use the state’s administrative record alongside the builder’s disclosures.
Before comparing prices
Pulte’s online calculators identify their rates and payments as illustrative. Taxes, insurance, financing and homeowners association costs can affect the amount a buyer actually pays. The useful comparison is a current written price for an identified home, with its fees and financing terms, rather than a launch headline alone.
