The latest: construction is moving again

Work resumed at the Hard Rock Las Vegas construction site Tuesday, October 6, according to News 3. A Hard Rock International spokesperson told the station that construction was proceeding as planned after crews paused work the previous day.

The return to work is the new development. The precautionary evacuation took place Monday, October 5; it should not be read as a new evacuation order for Tuesday.

Why crews left the site

FOX5 reported that LVMPD was investigating a threat of violence at a construction site in the 3400 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. Police said detectives were assessing its legitimacy and that there was no active or known danger at the time of that statement.

News 3 described the work stoppage as a precaution. The reports distinguish the construction site’s decision to evacuate from a finding that a threat was credible.

What remains unconfirmed

The sources reviewed establish that work restarted. They do not establish a final police finding about who made the threat or whether charges will follow. A resumption of construction alone does not answer those investigative questions.
