Progress at the interchange

The 215 Beltway–Summerlin Parkway interchange project has passed the halfway mark in its reported construction billing. September reporting put work billed at about 58 percent as of the end of August. That measurement is a project accounting indicator, rather than a statement that every type of work is 58 percent complete.

Four of five new vehicle bridges had been completed, with the final bridge expected by year’s end. A new connection from westbound Summerlin Parkway to northbound 215 was expected to begin carrying traffic in November or December, according to the progress report.

More than a single ramp

The $130 million project includes interchange ramps, a flyover from southbound 215 to eastbound Summerlin Parkway and pedestrian trail bridges. Construction began in February 2025, with the overall undertaking scheduled to continue into spring 2028.

That long schedule means drivers may see individual improvements open while work proceeds elsewhere. A bridge reaching structural completion is also different from a ramp being ready for public traffic.

Use notices for travel decisions

The reported late-year ramp window remains a target. Drivers should rely on posted signs and county construction notices for actual access changes rather than assuming a new ramp is open because its structure looks finished.
