Airport access starts with current riders

Waymo says current riders in its Las Vegas service can now request fully autonomous trips to and from Harry Reid International Airport. The company announced the airport connection October 21 and said it will invite more riders gradually before opening access to everyone.

That rollout language matters: the announcement does not say every Las Vegas traveler can immediately download the app and book an airport ride. Availability depends on a rider's current access and whether the trip begins or ends inside Waymo's published 24-square-mile Las Vegas service area.

Where airport pickups and dropoffs happen

Waymo identifies dedicated autonomous-vehicle zones on the Ground Zero level at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Travelers should confirm the terminal and pickup instructions shown for their ride rather than heading to a conventional rideshare area by assumption.

Clark County Director of Aviation James C. Chrisley welcomed the additional transportation option in Waymo's announcement. The release does not publish a flat airport fare, expanded service-area map or timetable for universal access.

Check live travel details before leaving

Airport roadway work, terminal assignments and traffic conditions can change. Riders should use the Waymo app for service eligibility and trip instructions, then check their airline for flight status and the airport for current ground-transport information.

This report describes the announced service rollout; it is not a review of a ride and does not independently assess the company's safety claims.
