Results from the opening stretch
The Red Cross collected 640 blood donations at its Metallica-themed Fashion Show Las Vegas location between September 28 and October 9, according to an October 14 News 3 report citing the organization. That averaged 64 donations a day, compared with a goal of 30.
Nearly 61 percent of donations came from first-time donors, the Red Cross told News 3. These are results from the program’s opening two weeks, rather than a count for the full campaign, which is scheduled to continue into March.
Where and when to take part
News 3 places the experience on Fashion Show’s second level near Dillard’s. The report lists weekday hours of noon to 6 p.m. through mid-November, with later hours still to be announced. Confirm the time offered when making an appointment.
The Red Cross’s official campaign page gives the overall dates as September 28, 2026, through March 19, 2027. Appointments are strongly encouraged because daily capacity is limited, although the organizer does not require them. Use the linked Red Cross page for appointment availability and donor eligibility information.
An experience tied to coming in to give
The campaign includes Metallica music and artwork, a replica Lars Ulrich drum kit and a lounge. The Red Cross says access is for people who come to give; it is not advertised as a general walk-through attraction.
A campaign T-shirt is offered while supplies last, including to people who present to donate but are deferred. The offer does not guarantee a particular size or availability on every date.
